Animal
Collection Volunteer Drivers Members of the public or the RSPCA bring the majority of the casualties we admit to us. However, some people do not have their own transport, or for one reason or another are unable to make the journey. Additionally, we collect wildlife casualties that have been taken to veterinary surgeries in the region. We provide drivers with plastic carriers to transport the animals in (and the more ambitious ones with nets and graspers too!) The majority of animals to be collected are already in a box of some sort, so all you have to do is pick them up and bring them to us. Full training is given where required. Depending on the area you live in, you may get a call once or twice a week, but some drivers only hear from us once a month. There is absolutely no obligation to go out, so if you’re busy; we simply try someone else. If you’re interested in this worthwhile work, give us a call on 01892 750865. |
