Become A Friend Of Folly

Hundreds of people now support Folly Wildlife Rescue by making a monthly standing order payment. These payments, which range from £2 to £50 a month, really are the life-blood of the Trust, as they help give us the financial stability that we would otherwise (as a very young charity) lack.

Folly Wildlife Rescue is very much committed to keeping its costs as low as possible, but inevitably we have to meet a wide range of costs to enable us to carry out our work. These include feed and vet bills, fuel, insurance and of course wages (but did you know that the Trust only employs three full-time staff, relying instead on its volunteer base and work placement students?)

If you do set up a standing order, you’ll get automatic membership of our Supporter Group and in addition, can visit us at the hospital once a year for an exclusive ‘behind the scenes tour’. You’ll also receive two newsletters that will keep you up to date with all the developments here, including the success stories (and inevitably, the not-so success stories) but we give every animal and bird a second chance and you can’t say fairer than that.

Adopt A hedgehog

An adoption pack makes a great gift for a birthday or Christmas (or you can always treat yourself!) and is a very practical way to help hedgehogs in distress.
As well as illnesses and injuries the species is now seriously threatened by loss of habitat and housing developments, increased road traffic and unsympathetic farming practices
